Slow Return to Normal

I just wanted to take a moment to let all of you know that the Air Force Basic Military Training graduates are once again allowed to enjoy town pass with their families once they officially become “Airmen”! Last Thursday we had several families come in with their new Airman but sadly they were quite rushed to see all the attractions of San Antonio before returning to the base and left quickly. The Air Force is still sending the new graduates off to Tech School on Friday mornings so the families have to either return home or see the city on the weekend without their military family member. Nonetheless, this is a great sign that we will be getting even busier on the weekends! Please keep us in your prayers, and especially keep the young men and women of our military lifted up for the Lord’s protection and salvation!

  1. My sister was in San Antonio this past wk end. Since the Christian Servicemens Center has been an important part of our lives growing up she decided to see if the Center was still going. Much to her surprise she came across it while walking. Rev. E W Crocket and our father were good friends. He married our mother and dad and led them to the Lord on their wedding night! They were married for 64 years. Rev. crocket established the Calvary Baptist Church in Chatsworth IL of which my folks were charter members. Rev Crocket then felt the calling to serve the servicemen and opened the Center in Rantoul, IL. My father was on the board of trustees for the centers and was honored to work with Rev. Crocket. I am 82 and my sister is 73. We both remember going to the Centers with our folks when we were young. God bless you and your work!
