“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).

This Memorial Day, please take the time to reflect on the men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we all enjoy. Today is not just a day of cook outs and barbeques. It is not a day to celebrate Veterans or even our Active Duty Servicemembers. It is a day to reflect on those who died so that we may live in freedom. It is also a day to pray for the families of these heroes since it is a day that is a national reminder of their loss.
We thank our brothers- and sisters-in-arms who have gone out and have not come back. They proudly put on their uniforms and gave it all on the battlefields throughout the short history of this great country. They exemplify Christ’s words in John 15:13 where He said: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.“
Today we honor them. So, let us all put aside the divisive politics and the bickering about this news story or that. Let us remember the cost of the freedoms we exercise daily.
