Moving Forward

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength” (Isaiah 40:29).

We are about to select the organization that will be receiving the funds that our generous donors have given in support of the Ukrainian refugees who are fleeing their war-torn country. Many Christians and Christian organizations are mobilized to help the people of Ukraine. They share the ultimate free gift of salvation through Jesus with so many who are without hope. I am humbled to say that, though we are not an international aid organization and our mission is not to reach those displaced by war, the Lord has laid it upon many of our supporters to help out!

We will continue to take monetary donations and physical donations for the Ukrainian refugees until further notice because we are still hopeful that the Lord will bring a Ukrainian family to the San Antonio area. In this case, we may be able to sponsor them and directly share the Gospel of Jesus with them as they resettle in the USA . However, that may be months away, so we are going to be donating the money received to date to an organization in need that is closer to the refugee situation in eastern Europe. We want the money to help Ukrainians now and not sit around in our coffers.

Once the selection is made and we officially notify the organization, we will put out another post and perhaps an article in our Good News Bulletin.

Finally, keep praying for the safety of the Ukrainian people and for an end to the warfare going on in Europe. Pray that those on both sides of the fighting have had the opportunity to place their faith in Jesus by hearing the Gospel message. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).
